How to make a Paper Boat

If you can capture the imagination of a child with creativity it will inspire all that they do.

To the adult reader this may seem just plain silly. But to my six year old granddaughter who was staying with us for two weeks, this was very important stuff.

For days my granddaughter and our youngest son became completely fixed on finding out the best way to make a paper boat. They folded, unfolded, refolded. It was unending but it was fun. It naturally expanded into fans, airplanes, fortune tellers even garland, boxes, pencil cases. Oh yes, we were covered in paper everything. It wasn't until they suggested a paper coffee mug that I thought maybe it was getting a little nuts. Ah kids.

Here's is how they made their boat. There's a picture tutorial at the end.

Have fun!
