Planning a themed party

A quick snapshot of how to plan a themed party

Pick your theme - The 5 things you have to ask yourself

WHO is it for? And what do they love, what are their interests?
WHAT is the purpose of the event? What is the image or impression you want to make?
WHERE will it take place? At a home, a venue, outdoors?
WHEN will you be having this party? Does the season matter? Day or night?
WHY are you celebrating? What's the big event? Why is it important?

Get your supplies

Find a jumping off point from the questions you asked yourself about the theme.Pick a few key ideas, design elements (character, animal, etc), colours and a few accents.Spread all of your ideas around the different elements of the invites, decor, food, etc.Mix it up and have fun with it!

Host your event

Prepare as much as possible ahead of time. Come up with fun and interactive ways to engage your guests.Staying on theme, give guests a small token of appreciation (themed loot bag, decorated sugar cookies, etc).
Relax! All the planning and work you put into your party is going to pay off... HAVE fun!
